SB 1057 -- LIENS BY HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS
SPONSOR: Loudon (Behnen)
COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Professional Registration and Licensing by a vote of 12 to 0.
This bill adds physical therapists to the definition of "health

sickness or injury was caused by a tortfeasor.
FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds in FY 2007, FY 2008, and
FY 2009.

therapists working in private practice the right to file liens
like other health care providers.
Testifying for the bill were Senator Loudon; and Missouri
Physical Therapy Association.
OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
